Mattamy Homes Tops in 2012 Charlotte Parade of Homes

Excellence in product design and features across variety of price points impresses judges

CHARLOTTE, June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Mattamy Homes was the big winner in the 2012 Charlotte Parade of Homes Awards, taking home five awards, the most of any builder in this year's competition.

The Parade of Homes is put on by the Home Builders Association of Charlotte each spring and features new homes from the area's top builders for sale across a range of price points and locations. This year, 62 homes were entered and judged in five price categories.

Based on the price of its new homes available for sale in the Charlotte area, Mattamy entered homes in four categories, winning an award in each category, with three Gold and two Silver awards overall. Of special note, Mattamy's homes dominated Category 5 ($300,000-$335,000), taking home both the Gold and Silver. (See the table below for a breakdown of categories and the Mattamy winning models.)

Each home in the Parade competition is scored by a team of experienced industry judges according to a variety of external (e.g., design, landscaping, curb appeal) and interior (floor plan, rooms, detailing, lighting) categories.

Mattamy's homes stand out for a number of reasons, including thoughtful interior and exterior designs and excellent standard features, all in a number of elevations across the range of price points, says Mattamy Carolinas President Bill Kiselick.
