Mattamy Homes Welcomes new General Manager for RiverTown Development

Experienced leader will direct master-planning for unique, 4,000-acre riverfront community

JACKSONVILLE, FL, Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Mattamy Homes, one of the largest privately owned homebuilders in North America, welcomes aboard a new General Manager to lead the development of the company's unique master-planned community of RiverTown, on the St. Johns River in Jacksonville.

RiverTown is the only riverfront master-planned community in Jacksonville. It is approved for up to 4,950 homes, meaning that more than 10,000 people will eventually call this sought-after and family-friendly neighborhood home.

Jason Sessions joined Mattamy on October 20, 2014, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the GM RiverTown role. Jason has had an accomplished 20-year career in the Florida real estate and development industries. Most recently he was the President of Southeastern Development Group Inc., a full-service real estate development company that provides management and consulting for all types of real estate projects. Jason also owned his own real estate brokerage and property management firm, and was a project manager with Atlantic Gulf Communities. He has a Bachelor of Science, Marketing degree from Florida State University and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Northeast Florida Builders Association.

Jason will be responsible for leading all aspects of the master-planning involved in bringing the RiverTown community to market. This may include working with a select group of custom builders, who share Mattamy's vision for the property, on riverfront lots.

These will range from multi-family homes to single-family homes to estate homes along the riverfront. Sales and construction are estimated to begin in the first quarter of 2016. Ultimately the project may last up to 15 years.
