WOODLAND PARK, N.J., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxell Corporation of America announces it is once again providing media support to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, as part of the celebration of America's favorite pastime.
This year, Maxell Professional Media donates more than 1900 pieces of assorted media and other products to the Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Included in this donation are: DVD-R's, CD-R's, Flash Media, Hard Drives, and other assorted computer accessories.
"The ability to share and to store the game's history with audiences in Cooperstown and around the world is greatly enhanced because of the generosity of Maxell and their ability to meet our needs as a preservation institution," said Jeff Idelson, President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. "We are grateful for the support Maxell provides in capturing the biggest moments in our institutional history, and in helping us share the messages that matter most with fans in ballparks, as well as in communities around the country and across the globe."
Over the years, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum has benefited from the contribution of various products from Maxell Professional Media, including Betacam SP, DVPRO-HDV, CD-Rs, DV-Rs, batteries and more. According to the organization's multi media operations department, over the past year they have found particularly great success with the Maxell iVDR, which has worked well with their current HDTV camcorder.
Among the exhibits that Maxell media has been used in are: One for the Books, the Museum's newest addition, featuring a comprehensive look at the game's records, milestones and biggest statistical achievements; Viva Baseball, a celebration of Latin America baseball heritage; and Chasing the Dream, the story of Hank Aaron and his rise to become an American icon. Maxell media is also used in a number of other areas throughout the Museum's presentation.
All public service announcements (PSAs), as well as club-specific content, that are delivered to major and minor league ballparks across the country are stored on Maxell media. For the all-important archiving of historical footage, recordings, images and more, the Hall of Fame and Museum relies on Maxell to preserve priceless moments of baseball history, as well.
"We are honored to offer continued support to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum," said Patricia Byrne, Senior Marketing Manager for Maxell. "To be able to help preserve and share the vast history of such a beloved part of American culture with our products is something we are more than happy to do for as long as possible."
