(Nasdaq: MXWL) ("Maxwell"), a leading developer and manufacturer of capacitor energy storage and power delivery solutions, today announced the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 7,590,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $3.25 per share. This includes the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase up to 990,000 additional shares at the public offering price. Including the proceeds from the sale of these additional shares, the Company received total net proceeds of approximately $22.9 million from the offering, after deducting the underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses payable by the Company.
Maxwell intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include research and development expenses, capital expenditures, working capital, possible repayment of debt and general and administrative expenses.
Barclays acted as sole bookrunning manager and Roth Capital Partners acted as Co-Manager for the offering.
