Previously Vice President of Government Affairs for the Private Equity Growth Capital Council (PEGCC), Langston brings extensive experience in asset management, private equity, and venture capital policy and regulatory matters to MSC.
In his most recent role at the PEGCC, Emerson developed and implemented key strategies in the financial services sector, representing private equity and growth capital interests before Capitol Hill and the Administration. In addition to building inter-organizational partnerships to enhance the reputation of private equity on the Hill and in the media, Emerson secured essential bipartisan support and passage of key industry legislation in the House of Representatives. Prior to working at the PEGCC, Emerson was Senior Director of Federal Government Relations for TIAA-CREF Financial Services, where he was responsible for the legislative and regulatory practice in Washington, DC.
