McDonald's Customers are Showing Their Lovin' #forRMHC and the Children and Families of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bay Area
RMHC Helps Strengthen Families During Difficult Times
SAN FRANCISCO, April 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For 40 years, and with the support of Mission Partner McDonald's, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) has worked to help critically-ill children heal with their family by their side. Since 1974, the restaurant chain and its customers have helped raise millions of dollars to help the Charity ensure children and families can cope and heal together. Now through May 10, customers will have the opportunity to once again show their support and lovin' #forRMHC during the Lovin' #forRMHC fundraising campaign.
Starting May 1, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bay Area is encouraging the Bay Area to support Lovin' #forRMHC by visiting a participating McDonald's restaurant and purchasing a paper Heart for $1, $3 or $5. All proceeds from every Heart purchased will go directly to supporting RMHC and its mission to directly improve the health and wellbeing of children.
"At RMHC, we offer services and programs that strengthen families during difficult times and offer the comfort, care and support when it's needed most," says Lee Ann Freeman, president of the board of directors at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bay Area. "The continued support of McDonald's and its customers through programs like Lovin' #forRMHC ensures we're able to help bolster a family's physical and psychological wellbeing so they can focus on getting and keeping their child healthy and happy."
RMHC has been a partner in enabling family-centered care for 40 years and is a vital part of the health care continuum. Through improved access to medical care, RMHC services enhance a family's hospital experience as well as give families a place to rest and recharge so they can focus on their child's wellbeing while staying together.
