McGlinchey Stafford Represents LEEVAC Shipyards in $20M Asset Sale

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- McGlinchey Stafford PLLC represented LEEVAC Shipyards, LLC, and its related affiliates in the sale of substantially all of LEEVAC's assets to Gulf Island Shipyards, LLC, a subsidiary of Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. Through the sale, which was completed on January 4, 2016, LEEVAC sold substantially all of its machinery and equipment to Gulf Island, and transferred its leasehold interests in its marine fabrication facilities in Jennings, La. and Lake Charles, La. In addition, Gulf Island entered into an agreement to lease LEEVAC's marine fabrication facility in Houma, La.

McGlinchey Stafford served as exclusive legal counsel for LEEVAC in the transaction. New Orleans Office Managing Member Ricardo "Richard" A. Aguilar served as lead attorney for LEEVAC. Other principal members of the team working on this deal were Members Jean-Paul Perrault and S. Jess Sperry, as well as the firm's Managing Member, Rodolfo "Rudy" J. Aguilar.
