McKnight's Senior Living Names CareOne EVP Elizabeth Straus Woman of Distinction, Hall of Honor

FORT LEE, N.J., March 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- McKnight's Senior Living announced CareOne Executive Vice President Elizabeth Straus has been honored as a Hall of Honor Woman of Distinction. This award is given to those who serve the senior housing and care sector; this includes women working in long-term care/post-acute care, assisted living, independent living, senior living, memory care, hospice and life plan communities, and direct care providers.

The elite winners were chosen for their success in leading massive growth at their companies, completing multiple degrees, overcoming tragedy and mentoring younger employees. Ms. Straus was awarded the Hall of Honor distinction due to her role as Executive Vice President of CareOne, and a member of the company's Executive Committee. In her role, she has overseen the successful completion of 8 skilled nursing and assisted living facility renovation projects totaling more than $20 Million, directed and implemented a system wide new contractor and vendor bidding process, and re-engineered the department's architecture, design, contractor management, and zoning/municipal approvals policies and procedures.  She is also responsible for clinical services, finance, plant/facility operations, and the business development and marketing of more than 60 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Additionally, she is responsible for the company's home health, hospice, pharmacy and LTACH operations. In total she oversees over 10,000 employees who care for over 100,000 patients annually.
