McRoskey Mattress Company Part of Congresswoman Jackie Speier's "Make It In America" Exhibition at San Mateo Fairground

SAN FRANCISCO, June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McRoskey Mattress Company, one of San Francisco's oldest manufacturers is participating in Congresswoman Jackie Speier's Make It In America exhibition at the San Mateo County Fair June 11 and 12.

According to a release disseminated by the Congresswoman's office, The United States is the world's largest manufacturing economy, producing 21% of the all globally manufactured products compared to 15% produced by China and 12 % produced by Japan. American manufacturing accounts for 11% of GDP and is valued at $1.6 trillion. Eighteen million Americans and 1.28 million Californians are employed in manufacturing. According to economists, 200,000 new American jobs could be created if every American spent just $64 more per year on American-made products.

The McRoskey exhibit will be located in Exhibit 4 in the Expo Hall. The San Mateo County Fair will be open Saturday, June 11 from 10a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
