Med-Tek, LLC Announces New Board of Director Appointments

COCONUT GROVE, Fla., April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Med-Tek, LLC is pleased to announce the formal appointment of several new directors to our Board of Directors which include Tom Leamon, Ph.D., Frank Del Rio, Eitan Machover, Stefano Rocca, Michael Cusumano, Thomas Bongard.

Tom B. Leamon, Ph.D. - Chairman of the Board of Directors - Dr. Leamon retired as Vice President of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, Director of the Liberty Mutual's Research Institute. Current Adjunct Professor of Occupational Safety at the Harvard School of Public Health, and Member NORA liaison committee of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Dr. Leamon is a Fellow of the Ergonomics Society, Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (U.K.). He is a board certified Professional Ergonomist, a Chartered Engineer (U.K.), and a European Engineer. Dr. Leamon received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Cranfield.

Frank Del Rio – Director, Chairman Audit Committee, Member Management Committee - Frank Del Rio is the founder of Oceania Cruises, and serves as Chairman & CEO of Prestige Cruise Holdings, the parent corporation of Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Eitan Machover – Director, Member Management Committee - Mr. Machover is a founder of MediTech Advisors. He has held various positions, for fifteen years. He served on the board of GE Medical Systems Israel Ltd. from 1999 to 2003, when he left GE to found MediTech Advisors. Mr. Machover graduated from Emerson College in 1987 with a degree in Business Communications and an M.B.A. from Boston College in 1989.

Stefano Rocca – Director, Member Management Committee - Mr. Rocca is a veteran European businessman with interests in, and a director of multiple diversified companies including shipping, cruise lines, manufacturing, processing, distribution, food, and retailing. For the past 23 years, Mr. Rocca has spearheaded Rocca & Partners to become the world's leading ship brokerage company.

Michael Cusumano, Ph.D. – Director, Member Management Committee - Dr. Cusumano is the Sloan Management Review Distinguished Professor of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management, with a joint appointment in the MIT Engineering Systems Division. He specializes in strategy, product development, and entrepreneurship in the computer software industry, as well as automobiles and consumer electronics. Professor Cusumano received a B.A. degree from Princeton in 1976 and a Ph.D. from Harvard in 1984. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Production and Operations Management at the Harvard Business School during 1984-86.

Thomas Bongard - Director - Mr. Bongard is a 35 year business veteran, and the founder and operator of several successful healthcare related enterprises. As President and CEO he performed a turn-around for a Federally Qualified Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Av-Med Health Plan. Mr. Bongard holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in 1965 and a CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) degree from Bryn Mawr University.
