MEDcare Urgent Care CEO Presented at National Urgent Care Convention

CHARLESTON, S.C., March 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Radwan Hallaba, MD, co-founder and CEO of MEDcare Urgent Care, was one of the expert speakers at the National Urgent Care Convention. This convention was hosted by the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) and took place March 17-20 in Las Vegas, NV.

Dr. Hallaba presented on the topic of provider productivity. His objective was to educate attendees on how to appropriately define and measure productivity and understand the key drivers to being a productive medical center. His main points were provider selection, employee empowerment and business intelligence technology utilization for real-time patient information. The goal of this presentation was to emphasize the importance of adapting behaviors and improving communication to better serve patients.  

As well as presenting, Dr. Hallaba served on a professional panel for a workshop about how to start and operate an urgent care center successfully. This comprehensive workshop included information that attendees could apply immediately to their daily practice. Topics reviewed were site selection, payer contracts, compliance issues, clinic set up, marketing, financial practices, staffing and operations and corporate structures.
