Mediant Partners with Nonprofit Rock The Street, Wall Street to Empower Young Women in Finance
Partnership to focus on financial and professional development for the next generation of female leaders
NEW YORK and CARY, N.C., Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Mediant, a leading provider of investor communications solutions, today announced its partnership with Rock The Street, Wall Street (RTSWS), a non-profit organization dedicated to equipping girls to succeed financially and inspiring them to pursue careers in finance. Mediant will provide financial support along with connecting RTSWS with additional resources to support a year-long financial program in an effort to change the lives of high school girls in Cary, North Carolina.

The partnership with RTSWS is the latest initiative in line with Mediant's continued focus on empowering women in financial services. The first part of this collaboration kicks off this fall at Panther Creek High School with five educational sessions, ending with a Wall Street experience field trip to Mediant. Students will gain an understanding of Mediant and its business areas, and will also have the opportunity to meet and engage with leading female financial professionals about their experiences in the industry. The second part of the collaboration will pair students with one-on-one mentorship to help continue their education through the spring. As financial instructors, Mediant employees will mentor students based on RTSWS's curriculum which includes financial literacy, budgeting, career development and mentorship.

RTSWS's program has served more than 1,500 high school students across 13 cities including Atlanta, Minneapolis, New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and others.
