Megabus.com begins new service to/from Los Angeles, San Francisco and six cities
- Largest operator of transportation services in North America begins express service today
- All seats for travel during Dec.12-19 to/from newest cities will be $1
- 200,000 free seats available for travel Jan. 9 to Feb. 28, 2013.
NEW YORK, Dec. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Megabus.com, the first city-to-city, express bus company with fares from $1, today launched its expansion to California and Nevada. California and Nevada residents can now travel express to/from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, Calif., Riverside, Calif., Las Vegas, Sparks/Reno, Nev., Sacramento, Calif., and San Jose, Calif. for as low as $1. Customers can log on to www.megabus.com – in English or Spanish – to book their tickets.
To celebrate the new service, during the first week of travel (Dec. 12-19) all tickets will be $1. After Dec. 19, megabus.com will continue to offer fares as low as $1, with many other affordable fares on all of its services. Customers are encouraged to book early to secure $1 fares.

Last week megabus.com announced 200,000 free seats for travel Jan. 9 to Feb. 28, 2013. The free seats – to be booked only online using the promo code TRYMEGABUS – will be subject to availability for travel to/from most cities served by megabus.com in the USA and Canada.
In addition, megabus.com has partnered with Clean Air-Cool Planet, a national nonprofit organization that works to reduce carbon emissions and help create a sustainable environment. To commemorate the service launch, for every new Facebook friend and Twitter follower added on Dec. 12, megabus.com will donate $1 to the organization.
