Members of International Myeloma Foundation's Nurse Leadership Board Author Key Textbook for Nurses

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) – improving the quality of life of myeloma patients while working toward prevention and a cure –  today announced publication of a new updated edition of Multiple Myeloma: A Textbook for Nurses, an invaluable resource for oncology nurses. The book, which provides in-depth knowledge on the specific needs of the myeloma patient, has been lauded as a text written specifically for nurses and also authored by nurses.

The lead authors and editors are Joseph Tariman, PhD, ANP-BC and Beth Faiman, PhD, APRN-BC, AOCN®, longtime members of the IMF's Nurse Leadership Board.

The new edition focuses on nursing research and evidence-based care of patients with myeloma.  In addition, the book now addresses advances in genomics and biomarkers and reviews the latest clinical breakthroughs.

The foreword by Margaret Frogge, RN, MSN and former editor of Cancer Nursing: Principles and Practice, cites Tariman and Faiman as "two well-recognized nurse experts" who have been crucial to "advancing the science and care of individuals with multiple myeloma."
