With addition of Fidelis Care and MetroPlusHealth, Elektra Health now available to over 95% of women insured through commercial, Medicare and Medicaid plans in New York
NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Elektra Health, the virtual menopause care provider, today announced expanded insurance coverage in New York State with the addition of Fidelis Care and MetroPlusHealth plans, beginning September 1. In addition to Fidelis Care and MetroPlusHealth, Elektra is also in-network with EmblemHealth, its first plan partner in New York, as well as Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, Healthfirst, Molina, MVP Healthcare, Oscar Health, and United Healthcare. With this milestone, Elektra's services are now more accessible than any other virtual menopause care provider, covering over 95% of women in New York.
Elektra Health provides personalized care to support women through every stage of the menopause journey—from perimenopause to postmenopause. Its model combines virtual care from Menopause Society-certified clinicians with coaching and support from experienced health professionals like coaches and nurses. In addition, Elektra offers a private digital platform where thousands of members learn, connect, share, and support one another, discussing topics such as "what are the symptoms of menopause?" to "how long does menopause last?" to even questions like, "is hormone replacement therapy (HRT) safe?".
"As Elektra Health's first health plan partner in New York, EmblemHealth is proud to lead the way in improving access to high-quality, evidence-based care at every stage of life," said Michael Palmateer, Chief Executive Officer, EmblemHealth. "Together, we're ensuring that millions of women navigating menopause receive timely, specialized support that also improves their long-term well-being."
"Too many mid-life women are facing limitations to essential menopause care because they do not have top tier health plans or enough disposable income to pay out of pocket," said Jannine Versi, CEO & Co-Founder, Elektra Health. "As a New York-based company, we are incredibly proud of our presence in this state, and hope that women across the state take advantage of Elektra Health to navigate this complex phase of life."
Since its launch in 2019, Elektra has become a leading provider of combined education and healthcare services for midlife women. By partnering with leading private and government-sponsored insurers, Elektra ensures that women have access to support and trustworthy education so they can make informed decisions about their care. The company has established notable collaborations with health systems, including UPMC Magee-Womens Midlife Health Center, Mass General Brigham Health Plan, Mount Sinai Health Partners, and EmblemHealth, allowing seamless access to its services through patient portals.
