BOSTON, June 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Furthering its commitment to mentoring and leadership, Skyhook, the world's leading location intelligence company, today announced its sponsorship of the BIG Golf Tournament, a Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay annual event, for the third consecutive year. This year's BIG Golf Tournament will be held at Stow Acres Country Club on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET.
The BIG Golf Tournament was created in 2003 for Bigs, along with their friends and colleagues, to join together for a day of golf to benefit BBBSMB. Since its inception, the tournament has played an integral role in helping the agency serve Bigs and Littles and reach more children in Boston's highest-risk communities and match them with a reliable mentor.
"Skyhook has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay for the last few years to host the BIG Golf Tournament," said Wendy Foster, CEO at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay. "Skyhook's support, and the leadership of Event Chair and Skyhook SVP of AdTech Sales, Dan Gill, has helped us raise over half a million dollars over the past 15 years - enabling us to match more children each year with responsible, caring adult mentors."
"Boston has always been Skyhook's home and many of us here have had the good fortune to have been mentored by someone along the path of our careers," said Karl Holzthum, CSMO of Skyhook. "Sponsoring the BIG Golf Tournament offers us a chance to pay it forward."
