As a sponsor of the popular Hollywood Dominos 4th Annual Gala being held at the Sunset Tower Hotel to benefit the Seven Bar Foundation, Mercedes-Benz is ensuring the swift and safe arrival of celebrity committee members and attendees in S400 Hybrid sedans. The luxurious S-Class hybrid provides an estimated 30 miles per gallon on the highway and features the world's first lithium-ion battery in a production hybrid vehicle.
The Hollywood Dominos crowd is also getting an up-close look at one of the limited number of Zero Emission B-Class Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles that are now available for lease in California. Mercedes-Benz delivered several B-Class hydrogen fuel cell vehicles including one to the uber-eco conscious Executive Director of the Producers Guild of America, Vance Van Petten. The vehicle is essentially an electric car that is fueled by compressed hydrogen, which gets the equivalent fuel mileage of 86.6 city-highway miles per gallon with a range of up to 240 miles, can be re-fueled in approximately 3 minutes and produces water as the only emission.
The weekend festivities are culminating with Mercedes-Benz annual Oscar viewing party that is taking place at the Soho House West Hollywood. A tradition during Oscar weekend, the invitation only viewing party draws an exclusive mix of industry executives and Hollywood insiders that celebrate Mercedes-Benz long-standing history in the film.
Mercedes-Benz kicked off the Award Season in January as the exclusive automotive sponsor for The Palm Springs International Film Festival and The Art of Elysium's Fourth Annual Black Tie Heaven charity gala.
