ATLANTA, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today announced the appointment of Christian Treiber to vice president of customer services, effective January 1, 2016. Reporting directly to Stephen Cannon, president and CEO of MBUSA, Treiber will be a member of MBUSA's executive management team with responsibility for all customer service operations, engineering services, after-sales business development, parts logistics, Mercedes-Benz Academy and MBUSA's award-winning customer assistance center. He replaces Gareth Joyce who will become president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, also effective January 1, 2016.
With 23 years' experience within the Mercedes-Benz organization internationally, Treiber started his career with Daimler in 1992 at the retail store in Dusseldorf. After completing his bachelor's degree in sales and marketing in 1995, at the Management & Business Academy in Essen, Germany, Treiber worked in Daimler owned retail sales for five years before assuming responsibilities as general sales manager for automotive and non-automotive accessories. In 2003, he was appointed to general manager of the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center in Stuttgart.
In 2006, Treiber came to MBUSA's corporate headquarters in Montvale, N.J. as general manager of after-sales marketing and parts logistics and then after-sales business development. In 2011, he returned to Stuttgart to head up after-sales parts marketing for Mercedes-Benz Cars and smart.
Over the last three years Treiber has served as director of the service and parts business for Mercedes-Benz Cars.
