- MergeIQ provides a scalable, governed approach to healthcare AI, enabling organizations to adopt advanced capabilities without adding standalone systems, increasing IT complexity or disrupting existing workflows.
- With AI insights embedded directly into the radiologist workflow, MergeIQ helps reduce time spent searching across multiple systems so that clinicians can focus more on patient care.
- RelevancyIQ™ and NaviIQ are the first MergeIQ applications embedded into Merge Workflow Orchestrator to support efficient access to relevant prior report information and clinical context across radiology and other imaging specialties.
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Merge today launched MergeIQ™, an artificial intelligence layer that embeds practical intelligence applications across the Merge platform. MergeIQ provides a scalable foundation for applying AI across radiology, cardiology, pathology and other imaging specialties.
The first MergeIQ applications, RelevancyIQ™ and NaviIQ, are available within Merge Workflow Orchestrator. Embedded directly into the radiologist's diagnostic reading workflow, they provide relevant prior information and clinical context keeping radiologists in their current workflow, while bringing supporting data directly to the point of interpretation.
The initial MergeIQ applications include:
- RelevancyIQ: Identifies and ranks prior reports according to their relevance to the current case, helping radiologists focus on the historical context most likely to inform interpretation.
- NaviIQ: Searches within prior reports to surface relevant findings and historical context that may inform interpretation of the current study.
Together, these applications are designed to streamline access to relevant prior information at a moment when imaging volumes continue to rise and reports span more modalities than ever. Data from the American Medical Association show radiologists fifth on its list (45.2%) for burnout rates among medical specialties.
RelevancyIQ and NaviIQ are designed to locate relevant prior information and bring useful data directly into the existing diagnostic reading workflow. As imaging volumes increase and findings span multiple modalities, this integrated approach helps radiologists remain focused on interpretation rather than searching across disconnected systems.
At the platform level, MergeIQ provides a governed, scalable approach to AI adoption within an established enterprise imaging environment. It combines fine-tuned foundation models, third-party models and AI models developed in-house, then embeds the resulting intelligence within existing applications and workflows.
Applied within the imaging context, these capabilities search large volumes of prior reports to surface information prioritized by relevancy to the current exam. Imaging-specific data, integrations and workflow controls support their practical clinical use.
This approach enables organizations to advance innovation without adding another standalone platform or increasing the number of systems IT teams must manage. It extends the value of prior investments while allowing organizations to adopt new capabilities with less disruption and at a pace aligned with their priorities.
"MergeIQ represents a comprehensive approach to AI across the Merge platform, one that begins with the clinical and operational challenges imaging organizations need to address and applies technology in a practical, responsible and scalable manner," said Ashish Sant, General Manager, Merge. "RelevancyIQ and NaviIQ bring relevant clinical context directly into the radiologist's diagnostic reading workflow, delivering value today while establishing a foundation for additional AI applications across Merge solutions."
MergeIQ launches first within Merge Workflow Orchestrator, which unifies enterprise worklists to support caseload management, interpretation and collaboration. Over time, Merge plans to expand MergeIQ across the platform, bringing practical intelligence to additional applications and imaging specialties.
