Meridian Health Plan Awards 16 Top Healthcare Physicians

DETROIT, Sept. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Meridian Health Plan (Meridian) has recognized 16 Michigan Primary Care Providers (PCPs) as "Top Docs" for their outstanding quality and service.

Through a selection process based on Meridian's 2011 Quality Incentive Program, these PCPs were identified as outstanding primary care offices for Meridian members. PCPs selected for this honor excelled in preventive care, completing over 90 percent of the quality measures used in the assessment.

The Meridian Quality Incentive Programs paid over $21 million in quality bonuses to its contracted PCPs in 2011. The program rewards contracted PCPs for completing preventive care measures and working towards Patient Centered Medical Home designation.
