Meridian Health Plan of Illinois Named Top-Rated Medicaid Plan in State
CHICAGO, Sept. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Meridian Health Plan of Illinois is the top-rated Medicaid HMO in Illinois with a rating of 4 out of 5 in NCQA's Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2015–2016.

Meridian Health Plan of Illinois is one of 28 Medicaid plans in the US that received an overall rating of 4 out of 5. Meridian Health Plan of Illinois was ranked the number one Medicaid HMO in the state and 10th in the nation according to NCQA's Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2014-2015. NCQA changed its rankings methodology in 2015. The new methodology is an overall "rating" on a scale of 1–5, where 5 is the highest score and 1 is the lowest score.
In addition to this top rating in the state of Illinois, Meridian Health Plan of Illinois was also awarded an accreditation status of Commendable for service and clinical quality that meet NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement. NCQA Health Plan Accreditation evaluates the quality of health care that health plans provide to their members.
