Merlin International Appoints Brian Wells as Director of Healthcare Strategy
VIENNA, Va., June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Merlin International, a leading cybersecurity and IT solutions provider, today announced that Brian Wells has joined the company as Director of Healthcare Strategy.
Brian brings over 35 years of leadership experience in the hospital, physician, academic medical center and payer information systems areas. This extensive experience will enable Wells to build and execute on a strategy to expand Merlin's current government healthcare focus to the commercial sector.
Wells joins Merlin after serving as the Associate Vice President of Health Technology and Academic Computing for the University of Pennsylvania Health System / Perelman School of Medicine for the past ten years. In this role, in addition to other duties, Wells led a team of 80 software developers focused on web applications, data integration and data warehousing analytics. Wells also held a leadership position at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and was the Founder and CTO of InteHealth, Inc. He is a HIMSS Fellow and frequent speaker on panels and at conferences across the nation.
