Merrell Launches its Most Sustainable Collection to Date
The Gridway Collection features an exclusive Vibram® EcoDura outsole and recycled components throughout each style
ROCKFORD, Mich., Nov. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Merrell is proud to announce the next step in its sustainability efforts: the introduction of the Gridway Collection. All shoes in the Gridway Collection are made from recycled materials wherever possible and are built with a singular intent: to last.
The Gridway Collection is complete with knit uppers and laces made from 100% recycled materials. Additionally, the Gridway has 50% recycled, removable EVA footbeds and EVA midsoles made with 40% recycled content from manufacturing scraps. Exclusive to Merrell and used throughout the Gridway Collection, a Vibram® EcoDura outsole is made from a minimum of 30% post-industrial scrap rubber, bringing forth a durable, high-quality compound that also reduces waste. EcoDura is Vibram's best performing recycled outsole on the market.
