WALTHAM, Mass., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Metalogix Software, a leading provider of solutions for Microsoft SharePoint migration, management, and archiving as well as Exchange® migration and archiving, today announced that SharePoint expert, Dr. Steve Marsh from Metalogix, will be presenting on best practices for migrating and upgrading to SharePoint 2010 on Wednesday, April 21, at 1 p.m. during the SharePoint Evolution Conference in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London.

The breakout session, titled "Overview of migration and upgrade solutions for SharePoint 2010 using Metalogix," will showcase Metalogix's innovative solutions for flexible high-fidelity migration into SharePoint 2010. The presentation will address upgrade scenarios from WSSv2/WSSv3/SPS2003/MOSS2007 to SharePoint 2010. This includes granular and partial migrations, re-structuring of list, library and site content during migration using Metalogix SharePoint Site Migration Manager and how organizations can take advantage of new site templates in SharePoint 2010. Dr. Marsh will also demonstrate how SharePoint Site Migration Manager can enable organizations to migrate content from existing web content management solutions, wikis and blogs to the SharePoint 2010 publishing platform.

Dr. Marsh is product marketing manager (EMEA) for Metalogix and is an expert in SharePoint migration and management technologies. Prior to joining Metalogix, Dr. Marsh spent over five years working at Microsoft UK Ltd where he held a number of roles. These include SharePoint Server Product Manager in which he was responsible for business and marketing strategy as well as awareness of Microsoft's SharePoint technologies. He holds a PhD in Microelectronics and Physics from the University of Dundee where he worked on the research and development of novel semiconductor memory and flat-panel display technologies.

During the SharePoint Evolution Conference, Metalogix will also be highlighting its suite of SharePoint migration, management and archiving solutions in conjunction with cScape in booth No. 18.
