Metech Recycling Approved By Maine as 2012 E-Waste Consolidator

WORCESTER, Mass., Dec.1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Metech Recycling received approval from the State of Maine to be an E-Waste Consolidator for municipalities and manufacturers in accordance with Maine's E-Waste Law (38 MRSA Sec.1610). 

The law, enacted in 2004, established a shared responsibility system for the recycling of end-of-life electronics generated by households in Maine. Municipalities, consolidators, recyclers, manufacturers and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (Maine DEP) share responsibility for protecting the environment by responsible e-waste recycling.
