Michael Baker International Expands Federal Markets Practice for Continued Service of United States Government Agencies

The strategic effort adds key personnel and realigns expertise to help Michael Baker more effectively and efficiently serve existing clients and manage growth opportunities in the key federal business market.

Mr. Terak oversees the Federal Markets group that is based in Michael Baker's Moon Township, Pa., office with support from team members in the firm's Alexandria, Va., and Virginia Beach, Va., offices.

As part of the expansion, Michael Baker announces the following personnel changes:

Frank Terak Promoted to Senior Vice President, Federal Markets
Frank Terak will have direct oversight and management of Michael Baker's Federal Markets practice group, driving the direction and focus of all business initiatives.  Mr. Terak and his team will work closely with counterparts throughout the Michael Baker organization in the development, evaluation and targeting of new clients and opportunities. During his 30-year tenure with Michael Baker, Mr. Terak has enjoyed success as the National Market Lead for the U.S. Army/United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Market segment of the Department of Defense, where he was responsible for sales and marketing, strategy development and tactical action plan implementation nationwide.

Jeff Sparrow Promoted to National Market Lead for Federal Civilian Clients
Based in the firm's Alexandria, Va., office, Jeff Sparrow, P.E., CFM, will shift his focus to serve the Federal Markets practice group by identifying new opportunities with Federal Civilian clients, developing new client relationships, leading or assisting offices with capture planning, proposal development, and team development with partners. Mr. Sparrow has more than 27 years of experience working with federal, state and local clients. He previously served as Michael Baker's National Market Lead for both FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security.

Bill Shiderly Promoted to National Market Lead for the U.S. Army and USACE
Bill Shiderly, P.E., will implement and manage the strategic growth and success for Michael Baker among the U.S. Army, USACE and related clients. Additionally, he will work to coordinate activities with Michael Baker's other Federal and Department of Defense National Market Leads to grow the firm's overall Federal and Defense Market Programs. Based in Michael Baker's Moon Township, Pa., office, Mr. Shiderly brings more than 20 years of experience working with USACE in design-build delivery, program management, planning and design, and project management.

John Alberghini Joins the Firm as the National Market Lead for the U.S. Navy
Based in the firm's Virginia Beach, Va., office, John Alberghini, P.E., will serve as the firm's U.S. Navy subject matter expert working with client service teams, local offices and practice leaders in developing both tactical plans and strategic positioning for key opportunities. Mr. Alberghini brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience working in the U.S. Navy's Civil Engineer Corps and eight years of federal market business development experience in private industry as a senior U.S. Navy market lead.
