Michael Baker International Increases West Presence with New Leadership Hires
Thomas Post, P.E., and Thomas Tracy, P.E., will support the firm's growth in the West region
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif., Jan. 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, announced two new leadership hires in the firm's West region. Thomas Post, P.E., will serve as Area Executive for Michael Baker's northern California offices, and Thomas Tracy, P.E., as Office Manager for the Rancho Cordova, Calif., office.
As Area Executive for Northern California, Mr. Post will focus on growing Michael Baker's operations across all practices in Northern California, Reno and Seattle. He will work closely with Michael Conaboy, P.E., the firm's West Regional Director, to leverage resources across the region to increase market share, oversee project delivery and continue to develop and expand the team.
Mr. Post joins Michael Baker with 35 years of transportation design and construction experience, including leading the design of more than 30 major transportation projects. Most recently, he was Director of Engineering for the California High Speed Rail Authority, where he managed a team of 65 bridge and civil design engineers, planning staff and CADD technicians. For five years, he was Northern California Principal for Jacobs, where he was responsible for a $1.5 billion portfolio of projects. He also has served as Northern California Manager for HNTB; Office Manager and Lead Project Manager for T.Y. Lin International's Sacramento office; and as Principal Bridge Engineer for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for 18 years. Mr. Post is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Mr. Tracy joined the firm in September 2018 as Office Manager in Rancho Cordova with more than 35 years of experience leading large-scale infrastructure engineering and design projects. His career includes leadership positions in both public and private sectors, most recently as Project Manager assisting the Capital SouthEast Connector Joint Powers Authority. He has also served as Transportation Department Manager for URS Corporation; Regional Manager for the California High Speed Rail Authority; General Engineering Team Design Manager for projects with the Washington State Department of Transportation; and a Regional Office Manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff (now WSP), among other roles. He is a member of the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, American Society of Civil Engineers and American Public Works Association.
