Michael Mortell Joins Ankura as Senior Managing Director

Based in New York, Mr. Mortell brings over 25 years of experience in investment banking, finance, turnaround and restructuring, technology, and digital media advisory services along with established relationships in the North American middle market private equity community.

Prior to joining Ankura, Mr. Mortell spent the last five years as a managing director and senior adviser for AdMedia Partners/GP Bullhound, leading marketing services and technology advisory firms, where he focused on providing M&A advisory and consulting services to technology, marketing communications, and digital media companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mortell was a managing director and group head of Prudential Securities' Private Equity Financing Group executing private equity capital raises to clients in various industry groups, including technology, consumer, business services, healthcare, and energy, and was a member of the management committee that ran Prudential's investment banking operations during a time of significant growth. Mr. Mortell also was a management consultant at a nationally recognized turnaround and restructuring firm where he provided strategic counsel and advisory services to troubled companies and their creditors.
