Michael Sturmer Joins Livongo Health to Lead its Health Services Segment
Addition of former Cigna executive reflects accelerating momentum with leading health plans
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Sept. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Livongo Health, the leading consumer digital health company focused on improving care for chronic conditions, announced today that Michael Sturmer has joined the company as its Senior Vice President of Health Services Segment.
Sturmer will be responsible for developing relationships and expanding services and business strategies with the country's leading health plans, payers, and risk-based organizations. He joins at a time when the company already has strong momentum in this channel for its Livongo for Diabetes program.

Sturmer joins Livongo after a successful career with Cigna, where he held a variety of leadership positions, including roles in Consumer Health Engagement, Analytics, Technology, and National Accounts. Most recently, he was the Chief Operating Officer for the New York/New Jersey Health Plan, where he focused on driving the transformation from volume-based to value-based care across key stakeholders, including employers, health plans, health care systems, and providers.
