Michigan Charity Launches "SHARE" Program to Feed the Needy in 39 US States

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 29, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Life for Relief and Development, a US non-profit organization based in Southfield, Michigan will launch a new "SHARE" program September 1 – 4, 2017 during the 4 days of the Islamic holiday Eid Al-Adha. Through this program, Life is partnering with Islamic centers, grocery stores and supermarkets at over 1000 locations in 39 states to distribute meat to needy individuals and families in their communities.
Community members will purchase the meat of a whole animal at partnering markets locations, keep their share of meat and leave a share for people in need. Islamic centers in the nearby communities will distribute "SHARE" vouchers to needy individuals and families in their communities so they can visit one of the participating markets to receive their free share of meat.
Life is focused on eradicating hunger in the US and will continue its efforts by providing Turkey's to the needy during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
