Michigan First Credit Union Continues Expansion Throughout Metro Detroit With May 24 Opening of Third In-Store Meijer Branch

LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan First Credit Union (www.MichiganFirst.com) is continuing its investment in metro Detroit with the addition of its newest branch, located within the brand-new Rochester Hills, Mich. Meijer. The official ribbon cutting will take place on Monday, May 24, at 9:30 a.m. at 3610 Marketplace Circle in Rochester Hills (MAP). This is the third new location Michigan First has opened within the past nine months.

As the economy slowly begins to show signs of hope, Michigan First is continuing to prove its dedication to supporting southeast Michigan.  The opening of new branches is just one example of Michigan First's devotion to reviving the Michigan economy.  During a time that many companies pulled back on investing, Michigan First has made large strides with new technology, new products and services and new locations.

The new virtually paperless branch offers the ultimate in one-stop banking and shopping, featuring a number of convenient, technologically advanced features that have been a hallmark for Michigan First and its members. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the branch will have computer kiosks available where members can perform nearly any banking transaction, from opening new accounts to making loan payments.  

The Meijer branch in Rochester Hills also will include Michigan First's MoneyWorks® Banking Centers, which are advanced ATMs that allow users to deposit cash and checks without envelopes; cash checks to the penny; and choose the denomination of money being withdrawn (singles, fives, twenties, etc.). The branch will also feature a high-speed coin counter – a free service for Michigan First members – that can count 3,000 coins per minute and deposit the coins directly into checking or savings accounts. The MoneyWorks and high-speed coin counter machines also will be available 24/7. Financial service representatives will be available within the branch to assist members between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
