"Mickey and the Plow Horse," New Book From Psychologist Dr. Edward Dreyfus, Encourages Young Readers to Embrace Life of Creativity and Purpose

Asthma prevents Mickey from participating in team sports or even romping around the neighborhood with kids his age, isolating him from his peers. His parents' solution is to send him to a summer camp. At camp, Mickey discovers that he can communicate telepathically with a plow horse named Jackson, and the two begin exchanging images from their own lives. Mickey learns that Jackson began life as a thoroughbred racehorse, but poor treatment led him to lose faith in himself.
