Mickey Charles Slow Down? Not Hardly.

PHILADELPHIA, April 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- (SportsNetwork.com) -- Anyone involved with the dissemination of sports content for clients ranging from the media to gaming with a literal plethora of other groups between those two, is likely wondering what Mickey Charles is contemplating these days. One of the most highly regarded executives within the industries where he has set the standard that is the benchmark for others has sold his business, The Sports Network, but rumors of retirement and living off laurels past do not seem to be the direction this icon and legend has chosen.
While his record, after more than three decades at the helm of The Sports Network, speaks for itself, he intends, from all reports, to remain active within the sports and gaming areas as a consultant and adviser to a select few advantaging his extensive experience and successes.
Since his background is more extensive than many realize, he is able to provide valuable insights to advertising efforts, promotion, marketing strategies, sales regimen and performance evaluations combined with tutorials as well as, of course, blueprint and game plans long and short term, procedures and systems to have in place. In effect, a grand plan for success and fulfillment.
Additionally, Mr. Charles indicated that he would continue to contribute editorial content for those sites and magazines for which he is doing so now on subjects ranging from travel to opinion pieces, gaming and evaluations of the latest technological offerings and whether to employ them or not.
When contacted directly, Mr. Charles indicated, "Retirement is not a word that suits my knowledge of the English language and ranks right up there with 'can't.' The sale of our business was probably more than a decade overdue. That had nothing to do with evaluations or the final tally but, rather, with the time devoted at the helm of The Sports Network when I could have undertaken all that I am acting upon currently as well. Yes, that translates to bringing to a more than satisfactory conclusion much of which must have an extended life time frame lest it. Whatever "it" is that I cannot truly share right now will fade into the quagmire of obscurity if I do not address it.
"Growth," he continued, "in any measure of time, must be evaluated in terms of current capabilities, anticipated "shelf life" of the vehicle – person, concept, public endorsement, ease of use for the masses that comprise the necessary user base. That very same public means their use of that which one is offering, how well it is presented and the level of accomplishment and expertise of the folks behind the effort. It is a potpourri, a recipe for the perfect outcome, or close to it. If I can assist with the process I am reachable."
About Mickey Charles

With the recent sale of TSN, he has turned to new projects, such as author, playwright, motivational speaker and consultant to the industries where he left a formidable and unmatched impact. Available consulting to the industry will be limited to afford clients the time they need as the process unfolds. The same is applicable to requests for speaking globally at conferences.
