Midland Partner Brandy Manning to Speak at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation's 2015 Annual Conference
MIDLAND, Texas, June 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Brandy Manning, a partner in Burleson's Midland location, will present "Property Tax: Making Your Case for Litigation" at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation's 2015 Annual Conference. The three-day event will be held in San Diego, California, from June 28 through July 1.
Manning's session will offer strategies for building a case for lower tax valuations, including expanding the bases for protest, preserving the right to protest, protecting the taxpayer's position by constructing an advantageous record, and applying operable facts and laws to generate favorable outcomes.
"Successfully challenging property tax valuations is a deadline-driven, multi-step process, filled with tricks and traps that can derail an uninformed taxpayer," explained Manning.
