With a distinguished career in clinical psychology, academic research, addiction treatment, trauma care and health psychology, Dr. Thomas is uniquely positioned to lead The Manor in its delivery of a truly holistic and individualized experience for each client. Since joining The Manor in May as a clinical psychologist, Dr. Thomas has made a tremendous impact with her expertise in complex diagnostic assessment. In August, Dr. Thomas assumed the role of Executive Clinical Director and has already succeeded in raising the level of clinical excellence with her daily guidance of the treatment team.

Dr. Thomas's experience has focused on the assessment and treatment of substance use disorders for those with complex co-occurring medical and mental health disorders. Her background in research-supported treatment modalities directly informs her ability to ensure that the most effective interventions are incorporated into The Manor's holistic program.

With her experience and expertise in trauma work, Dr. Thomas guides the team in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of each client.

About Dr. Chantelle Thomas
Dr. Thomas began her career as a Program Director for dual-diagnosis addiction and trauma treatment center in Malibu, CA. After receiving her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, she completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship in Health and Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. There, she gained specialized training in working within multidisciplinary medical teams, and specific expertise in medical-surgical consultation, trauma informed therapy, and chronic pain treatment. She then joined Access Community Health Center, through the UW School of Family Medicine, where she innovated the development of a substance use disorder consultation clinic embedded within primary care. She has also served as a consultant to The Wisconsin Primary Care Health Association in developing innovative strategies to mitigate the harms associated with opioid use disorder. In addition to her role as Executive Clinical Director at The Manor, Dr. Thomas also serves as the primary psychological consultant to the Center for Health Enhancement System Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison for several addiction-focused clinical research trials.
