Montaner has over 30 years of banking experience in the South Florida market, most recently having worked for Banesco USA and Fifth Third Bank where he oversaw the Commercial and Industrial Banking Divisions.

He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with majors in Finance and Banking from Florida International University and a Graduate Degree in Banking from Louisiana State University. Montaner is a former board member of the YMCA of Greater Miami, Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA), Trade Finance Committee and The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
