Mikawaya Mochi Launches Viral Video Song Contest to Promote Mochi Ice Cream

LOS ANGELES, March 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mikawaya, the original creator of Mochi Ice Cream, has launched a viral video song contest on http://www.mochiicecream.com and on their Facebook fan page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mochi-Ice-Cream/98033016935) in which visitors can post homemade Mochi Ice Cream videos of them singing about Mikawaya Mochi to the website, where they are voted on for a chance to win a Mikawaya Mochi-engraved 8GB Apple iTouch. The intent of the contest is to increase fan interaction online and to further raise awareness of the product through a creative and fun avenue.

Contest submissions will be accepted through June 10th, giving users 12 weeks to film and post a song. Grand prize winner, along with five first place winners, will be announced on June 14th.
