Mikros Systems Corporation Awarded $2.3 Million Delivery Order for the Adaptive Diagnostic Electronic Portable Testset (ADEPT)
PRINCETON, N.J., March 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mikros Systems Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: MKRS) was awarded their first delivery order under their recently announced $26 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center at Crane, IN. Under the terms of this delivery order, Mikros will supply 27 Adaptive Diagnostic Electronic Portable Testset (ADEPT) units over the next 6-9 months to the US Navy for installation aboard Aegis Cruisers and Destroyers.
"The ADEPT systems included in this order will provide advanced maintenance and distance support capabilities for the US Navy's most advanced ships," said Tom Meaney, Mikros President. "ADEPT will help improve the Navy's readiness levels by reducing the time it takes to perform complex maintenance tasks, standardizing the collection and reporting of equipment technical data, and allowing systems experts to assist with complex troubleshooting remotely."
The $26 million IDIQ contract was awarded to Mikros on March 19, 2010 for procurement of ADEPT systems and engineering services required for system enhancements, logistics, and field support. Mikros anticipates receiving additional delivery orders and task orders throughout the year, and believes that this contract could deliver revenues of $4-5 million annually over the next 5 years.
