Miller High Life Revives Vintage Television Advertisements

CHICAGO, Dec. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Throughout the month of December, Miller High Life will celebrate the brand's rich heritage and the holiday spirit by airing three vintage television spots from the acclaimed "High Life Man" campaign.

The three television spots, "Alternative Fuels" (2003), "Waiting" (1999) and "Pondering" (1999), originally aired as part of the "High Life Man" campaign. Each of these ads captures the brand's personality, highlighting its humor, authenticity and the notion that High Life is a simple, no-frills beer.

"Miller High Life has a rich history filled with decades of classic advertisements that help tell the brand story," said Kedric George, director of heritage and economy brands for MillerCoors. "We brought these ads back from the archives to give fans a look into our past and celebrate the values that have stayed true to High Life for over 112 years."

Airing the vintage television spots is one of many ways the brand has tapped into its archives in recent months. In October, Miller High Life debuted limited-edition heritage packaging and a menswear collection with Stock Mfg. Co., both inspired by the brand's iconic advertising throughout its history.

The "High Life Man" advertisements will air in Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Madison, Des Moines, Columbus, Louisville, Lexington, Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay and Milwaukee. The spots, created by agency Wieden & Kennedy, were directed by Academy Award winner Errol Morris and feature voiceover actor Doug Jeffers.
