Minneapolis Based Smitten Kitten Opens Its Second Location in Denver

MINNEAPOLIS, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Smitten Kitten, a multiple award winning sex toy and equipment retailer, will be opening its second location in Denver, Colorado April 1st.  The Smitten Kitten opened in July of 2003 in Minneapolis, MN with the intention of creating a welcoming, affirming and education-based sex toy shopping experience for its customers. Since opening, the company's diverse clients have learned to count on The Smitten Kitten to deliver cutting-edge, sex positive products, information and resources.

In 2003, Smitten Kitten formed The Coalition Against Toxic Toys, a consumer advocacy group that strives to bring awareness of environmental concerns with sex toys and change to a highly disingenuous sex toy industry. Consumers all over the country and world have relied on C.A.T.T. to provide information on safe toys and their use. The Smitten Kitten continues to have one of the largest selections of safe, non-porous toys in the world.

All staff who work at The Smitten Kitten are trained sex educators. These educators do daily sex education, teach in-store events, and do outreach into the community with GLBTQ groups, clinicians, mental health practitioners, university classes, and social workers. Smitten Kitten Denver is Smitten Kitten's first expansion into another location.  The business will be similar to its Minneapolis counterpart and will emphasize meeting the needs of the local culture and community. The new store will open April 1st at 11am. It is located at 70 Broadway, south of downtown Denver.

Smitten Kitten Denver will be celebrating its first few weeks in business with a Grand Opening party April 22nd-25th. The festivities will begin on Earth Day, the 22nd, with special ecosexy giveaways and specials. The weekend will continue with 20% off everything in the store until the 25th.

The celebration will culminate on Saturday, April 24th. Renowned sex educator and director Tristan Taormino and porn performer Adrianna Nicole will be the special guests and will be available to sign autographs and engage in conversation. Smitten Kitten will sell Taormino and Nicole's films for 40% off this night only.

All the weekend's events are free and open to everyone.
