Stephen G. Bondi Joins Firm as Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Financial Officer
NEW YORK, June 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Mittleman Investment Management, LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor wholly-owned by Mittleman Brothers, LLC, is pleased to announce that Stephen G. Bondi has joined the firm as Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bondi, whose employment will commence on July 5th, will be responsible for the ongoing development and oversight of the firm's compliance policies and procedures, as well as financial matters relating to the firm and its investment vehicles.
Mr. Bondi joins the firm from van Biema Value Partners, LLC where for the past 6 years he served as Chief Operating Officer and was co-head of the company's operational due diligence efforts. Prior to van Biema, Mr. Bondi served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer for Asset Alliance Corporation for 10 years. Before joining Asset Alliance, Mr. Bondi spent nearly 18 years with GAMCO Investors, Inc., starting with the firm in 1982 when it had less than $400 million in assets under management and departing in 2000 after the firm became publicly listed on the NYSE in 1999 under the ticker GBL. While at GAMCO, Mr. Bondi held several executive and board positions, including Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration of GAMCO as well as President of Gabelli Securities, Inc., the parent company to their alternatives business. Mr. Bondi, a CPA, holds a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
