MJC Partners Hires Carlton Jenkins to grow the Financial Services Group

Mr. Jenkins served for over 15 years as a Partner with The Yucaipa Companies, a Private Equity and Investment firm located in Los Angeles. Prior to his role at The Yucaipa Companies, Mr. Jenkins was a Founder, President and CEO of Founders National Bank of Los Angeles, which opened in the early 90's as the second African American owned and managed commercial bank ever to be headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

Most recently, Mr. Jenkins was responsible for oversight and co-management of Investment activities in The Yucaipa Companies "Corporate Initiative Fund," a series of Private Equity investment funds focused on investing in America's underserved and emerging markets.

Mr. Jenkins has extensive Corporate Board, Non-profit organization and community group involvements both locally and nationally, including his current role as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Community Investment Fund, the country's largest nonprofit investor in Community Development Financial Institutions.

Mr. Jenkins will be based in the firm's Downtown Los Angeles, CA office.
