Mobcast Join Hands with iDreamSky to Announce its Foray into Greater China

SHENZHEN, China, May 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- "DRAGON*SPIN," the well-known "Mobcast" mobile game platform is expanding its reach by going places. As a precursor, Mobcast Inc., operator of the mobile game platform, has totally revamped this smartphone game application.

A spin-off of a successful joint Japanese-Korean venture, the game is to be released as DRAGON*SPIN Z. Apart from Japan and Korea, the home turf of the collaborators, the game was being developed keeping in view the vast overseas market. In line with this, the company has recently entered into a comprehensive tie up with iDreamSky, China's largest mobile game publishing platform, for distributing the game in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau as the first release point in the overseas market.

The recast mobile game is expected to be in the forefront for Mobcast to give the big push for further native application game development in Asia in the future. It is pertinent to observe that Mobcast follows announcement of "Chain Eleven," the native application version's service for China which was 19th last week.

"DRAGON*SPIN" is a social game that adds RPG elements to the basic gameplay of video slots. The first of an all new "fantasy slots" genre, it was developed jointly with external development partners, and was released for the Android operating system in October last year. This renewed version is a completely new game, developed through a joint collaboration between Mobcast KOREA and Mobcast in Japan, and was produced by world-class game creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi. The newly reborn "DRAGON*SPIN Z (Provisional name)" has seen major improvements made to the user interface, including better visibility and usability. A new feature called "spinning battle system" will enable the user to seamlessly enjoy strategic battles with excitement by easy control. Yet another add-on "Raid system" is compete mode with other multiple players for getting Bonus points and more by defeating the ultimate monster through raid system. In order to promote interaction between users, Mobcast's unique SVS (Social Victory Space) concept has also been introduced. By providing the ability to create guilds and a friendship point system, the fun element of competition has been given due consideration. Other improvements include the renovation of the Slot Monster upgrade system, and a new story that dwarfs the scale of the original.

Mobcast has scheduled the release of the game's first service this autumn. Beginning Asia and going beyond, future plans include tapping more countries to be serviced through negotiations with the gaming markets. At the same time, domestic service for the previous version of "DRAGON*SPIN" (Android OS) will be phased out by the end of this month.
