MobileX Founder and CEO Peter Adderton Named 2026 Orange County Business Journal Innovator of the Year

Honored for Building an AI-Powered Wireless Service That Gives Consumers More Choice, Control and Value

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter Adderton, founder and CEO of wireless service MobileX, was named a winner of the Orange County Business Journal's 2026 Innovator of the Year Awards. The award recognizes individuals and organizations demonstrating "brilliance and leadership in innovation," and honors Adderton for his work disrupting the wireless industry through MobileX.

Most U.S. carriers sell unlimited plans that cost the same whether a customer uses a lot of data or very little. MobileX does mobile differently by using AI to analyze each customer's usage, forecast future needs, and recommend the right plan. The Orange County Business Journal honored Adderton at its 12th annual Innovator of the Year Awards ceremony in Irvine earlier this week. A panel of judges selected him from more than 60 finalists across technology, healthcare, manufacturing, sustainability and the nonprofit sector.
