Mobility Ventures Participates In Events To Highlight National Mobility Awareness Month

MISHAWAKA, Ind., May 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In recognition of National Mobility Awareness Month and the recent production launch of the 2014 MV-1, Mobility Ventures and the MV-1 participated in numerous events across the U.S. throughout the month of May.

Mobility Ventures was proud to be a key sponsor of the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association 2014 National Mobility Awareness Month Campaign. The campaign marked the third year for what has now become a successful annual contest in which four deserving "Local Heroes" will be awarded a wheelchair accessible vehicle tailored to meet their needs through an online contest. Mobility Ventures is donating a universally accessible MV-1 vehicle for this great cause.

The mission of the National Mobility Awareness Month Campaign is to educate seniors, caregivers and people with disabilities about wheelchair accessible vehicles and adaptive mobility equipment options.

In addition to participating in the month-long Campaign, the Mobility Ventures team was out on the road, showcasing the revolutionary MV-1 vehicle at conferences and expos around the country:

• New York Metro Abilities Expo, May 2-5 – the leading event showcasing the services and products for the disability community and healthcare professionals
• American Public Transportation Association 2014 Bus and Paratransit Conference, May 5-6 – the industry's premier bus display and exhibitor showcase featuring the latest bus and paratransit vehicles, products and services
• Taxi, Limousine & Paratransit Association Spring Conference & Expo, May 8-9 – a conference attended by approximately 300 transportation industry leaders to network and view the latest products and services
• Disabled Sports USA/ Warfighter Sports dinner, May 15 – a fundraiser to benefit Warfighter Sports, a program of Disabled Sports USA, which offers sports rehabilitation programs in military hospitals and communities across the U.S.
