Here, we've collected the top five baby names of the first half of 2017, both for all genders and broken down into girls and boys categories. The lists have shown consistency over the past few years, with some names rising or falling slightly in popularity.

The list of names remains the same as last year, with Noah, Liam and Ava maintaining their positions. However, Olivia and Emma have swapped places, with Emma taking the No. 2 spot and Olivia falling to No. 4.

Again, the list remains the same, but the individual names have switched ranks. Emma has overtaken Olivia as No. 1, while Isabella and Sophia switched to become No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Ava remains in the center at No. 3.

Noah and Liam kept their spots this year, but Elijah made an impressive jump from No. 5 to No. 3. Mason remained in the No. 4 position, while Michael fell to No. 5.
