MoneyGram and Farm Fresh Unite to Deliver Educational Technology to Virginia Students

NEWPORT NEWS, Va., Oct. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- MoneyGram (NASDAQ: MGI), a global provider of innovative money transfer services, and Farm Fresh Food and Pharmacy today awarded a collective grant of $40,000 to Virginia-based non-profit An Achievable Dream. The collaboration between MoneyGram and Farm Fresh Food and Pharmacy, a SUPERVALU retail chain, provides educational technology used to promote and foster interactive STEM learning among all grade levels at An Achievable Dream Academies.

Over 900 students at An Achievable Dream Academies will benefit from the joint gift which will be used to replace outdated desktop computers and other equipment. Additionally, the grant will be used to provide classroom instructors with interactive software and lesson plans that aim to challenge students in new and engaging ways.

An Achievable Dream is the first recipient of a SUPERVALU Foundation grant in the Newport News area.
