Automated Detection and Tracking of Follow-Up Recommendations enhances radiology care delivery

Automated Follow-Up Recommendation Detection and Tracking will enable Montage users to significantly improve the value of the radiology services they provide. Follow-up recommendations are omnipresent in radiology reports. This new Montage feature is designed to address major quality, safety, and financial outcomes associated with follow-up. The first major benefit is to track follow-up recommendations and monitor subsequent examinations to reduce the chance that a patient is lost to follow-up. Patients who are lost to follow-up present a significant medical malpractice risk when a finding is identified on a study, but the recommended follow-up examination is never performed.
