More Than 1,000 Attendees and 200 Exhibitors Expected at ISPE-CaSA 24th Annual Life Sciences & Technology Conference

RALEIGH, N.C., March 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter (CaSA) of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) will host more than 1,000 life science professionals from major pharmaceutical companies in the southeast and beyond at the 24^th Annual ISPE-CaSA Life Sciences Technology Conference on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh, N.C. Registration starts at 8 a.m.

The 2017 conference will feature 200 exhibitors, multiple tracks of continuing education programming, and a special education session for students and young professionals.

Program highlights include a special ceremony to recognize the Chapter's past presidents, a day-long series of continuing education programs in a variety of disciplines, including Biomanufacturing and Process Development; IP COP, Manufacturing Operations, Women in Pharma, Devices and Equipment; and the Facility of the Future. In addition, the conference offers a special career development track for students and young professionals.

The conference keynote speaker is Nicholas P. Valvano, brother of the late coach and sports personality Jim Valvano. Nick Valvano is president emeritus and former CEO of the V Foundation, ISPE-CaSA's designated charity this year. The V Foundation for Cancer Research was established in 1993 by ESPN and Coach Valvano, who died of cancer in 1993. ISPE-CaSA's donation will come from conference proceeds, a day-long raffle and a silent auction.

The conference is open to the public. Registration fees are $65 for members and $75 for nonmembers. Registration at the door on the day of the event is $85. Student registration fees are $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Registration includes food, parking and beverages throughout the day. The event will conclude with a reception for all attendees featuring complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
