NEW YORK, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- WiQiQi, designer of wireless chargers for the Apple iPhone 5 series, has pre-sold more than 28,000 units in the first week of its introductory promotion.
Comments left by buyers show that iPhone 5 users have been waiting for an affordable and proven wireless charging system such as the Qi compatible i5.
The i5 wireless receiver is designed upon the proven WiQiQi Samsung receiver, adding a thin cable with an iPhone 5 compatible connector at the end. Since it attaches to the outside of the iPhone 5, the charging rate was safely increased to 700 mAh (from 500 mAh). It takes only seconds to plug the i5 to the charging port, and it will fit under any soft case since it's smaller and thinner than a credit card.
After plugging it in, the iPhone 5 can be placed on top of any Qi standard compatible charging pad and they will wirelessly connect and start charging right away.
